Web/Email Servers: Some businesses want to host their own email and website. A file Server, if powerful enough, can include these abilities, or a seperate Web/Email server can be built specifically for these needs.

Fax Servers: What is a Fax Server and what is it's benefit? A fax server is a server that handles all incoming and outgoing faxes. Incoming faxes come into the Fax Server and get stored on the disk drive. The fax is then emailed to the user's workstation for review. If it is junk, simply delete it and no paper is wasted. Outgoing faxes can be sent from the individual workstation by simply sending the file to the Fax Server over the network. The Fax Server handles the dialing and sending of the fax, and will retry until it is sent. Again, no need to print paper and send the fax which wasts papar and time, and no need for the employee to leave his/her work to walk to a fax machine to fax a document.
